E-commerce : What will change with GST?

    I am tally partner, but we are also coming up with Online travel portal which will be having module for flights, hotels, car rental transfers, sight seeing, vacation rentals train bus and tour packages. what will be the impact of GST and what is the process we have to follow to know the exact charges we have to pay and deduct.

    Dear Adarsh Mishra,
    All e-commerce operators and suppliers on e- commerce platforms are mandatorily required to register under GST. You have to collect tax @ 2% on the net value of taxable supplies made through your platform, where the consideration, with respect to such supplies, has to be collected by the operator
    Also, on supply of certain notified services categories, tax shall be paid by the e-commerce operator, and not the supplier.
    On 10th of subsequent of month, you have file Form GSTR-8 containing details of outward supplies made through it in the previous month, including supplies returned.
